Indigo Signworks Welcomes Jackie Ewoniuk to Office Manager Role

Jackie Ewoniuk, Bismarck Office ManagerJackie Ewoniuk (pronounced EV-a-nek) has joined the Indigo Signworks team as the Bismarck Office Manager.  Previous to joining Indigo Signworks, Jackie spent the past six years running the Human Resource department at Kuhr Trucking in Dickinson.  Prior to her time at Kuhr, Jackie gained broad experience as an Office Manager, Project Manager and in Human Resources.  Jackie will be working closely with and supporting the Sales, Install and Graphics teams in our Bismarck office.  In her spare time, Jackie likes to play golf and cook.

Mark states, “I still believe in a firm hand shake and a compelling smile; they just might be the main ingredients needed to make a winning situation.”

Mark began his sales career of Territory Management in wholesale distribution, covering a multi-state area, growing sales, meeting & exceeding corporate goals. In his most recent position he managed a 5-state territory for HB Fuller Construction Products, a manufacturer in the construction industry based out of Chicago, IL.  In that sales role Mark had been awarded many high-profile projects including Mall of America 2012-15, Viking Stadium 2015, St Jude’s Hospital, College World Series and Clarkson Hospital these were accomplished by working close with project Managers, Architects, Contractors, Builders and Distributors.  Mark is excited to use his sales experience to add sales growth and gain market share for Indigo Signworks.

Indigo Signworks Announces Brian Ochocki as CFO

Indigo Signworks announces the addition of Brian Ochocki as CFO. As a senior leader with over 20 years of finance and operations experience across multiple industries, Brian brings a proven track record of strategic executive leadership.

“Brian’s impressive track record and expertise, combined with his experience helping transform businesses to drive financial growth and value, made him the ideal choice to be our new CFO,” said CEO Rick Schomburger.  “As we continue our growth plan, we are certain Brian’s ability to partner across all levels of the organization will expedite our progress while laying the groundwork for future strategic investments and acquisitions.”

Brian joins Indigo from Holiday Companies, where he served as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis and later as Vice President of Energy, Logistics and Transportation. He began his career as an auditor at the Big Four accounting firm KPMG.  Brian also held several finance leadership positions at Northwest Airlines.

Brian resides in Minneapolis, MN, and is currently based at Indigo Signworks’ Fargo office. He will ultimately be based in Minneapolis, where Indigo plans to establish its headquarters. Brian holds a BSB in Accounting from University of Minnesota and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University.

Indigo Signworks Welcomes Beth Nelson to HR Director Role

Beth Nelson has joined Indigo Signworks as the Human Resources Director. Beth is responsible for aligning human resource strategies with business objectives. Known as a collaborative leader with expertise in talent management and development, Beth has spent 16 years in HR.

“I am very proud to announce Beth Nelson as the new Human Resources Director for Indigo Signworks. Beth comes to us as an accomplished leader with years of experience in a wide variety of human resource roles,” said CEO Rick Schomburger. “The most important asset at Indigo isn’t something you can put your hands on. It isn’t our equipment or the physical plant, and it isn’t data, technology or intellectual property. The most valuable part of Indigo is our employees and any plans to move the business forward will start there.  With Beth’s leadership a solid foundation is now in place.”

Beth began her Human Resources career in the United States Army, where she worked for 24 years.  While in that role, she developed, provided counsel and implemented programs, policies and procedures.  After retiring from the US Army, Beth worked for Caesarstone Technologies in Richmond Hill, GA, a start-up manufacturing facility in US within the executive team to develop a workforce plan to align with business strategic plan as Plant Human Resources Manager.

Most recently, Beth was Division Employee Relations Manager for Coca-Cola Bottling Company United in Savannah, GA.

Originally from Dickinson, ND, Beth and her husband Michael have returned to her roots where she will base in the Indigo Signworks’ Fargo office.  Beth graduated from Webster University in St. Louis, MO, with an M.B.A. in Human Resource Management.

Indigo Signworks Recruits Experienced CEO – Rick Schomburger

 

Indigo Signworks, a leading design, build and install signage company that serves major retail and commercial brands, announced they have recruited Rick Schomburger as their new CEO.

According to Indigo Signworks’ Executive Chairman, Denny Chandler, “It is with great pleasure to have Rick join our team. Rick is an accomplished business person and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him take the helm to lead and accelerate our growth initiatives. His impressive skills and leadership style fit nicely with who we are today and where we are heading.”

Rick began his career by applying his engineering degree as a Project Manager at Universal Scheduling Consulting. He broadened his operating skills as a Plant Manager at Cooper Tools and then Director of Operations at Tyco International, where he led lean initiatives in a complex operational environment. Rick’s executive leadership experience began as the COO of Weiser Lock and President Global Manufacturing Solutions for Masco Corporation, and then as General Manager at Rain Bird Corporation. In 2007 he parlayed his skills into entrepreneurship when he personally acquired Solana, leading it through the recession downturn and growing it into the premier landscaping, hardscaping and signage company in Arizona. He recently sold Solana and now sees Indigo as the perfect fit.

“His expertise in operations, design-build-install businesses, acquisitions and his demonstrated leadership skills were exactly what we sought,” added Chandler.

Rick expressed, “I am very excited to be a part of the Indigo Team. Having spent time with both the management team and the Company’s investors who are looking to expand, I became convinced that this is the place for me to best utilize my education and experience.”

Rick is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and currently lives in Tucson, AZ with his wife Cheryl. Rick will initially be residing in Fargo and he and Cheryl will eventually relocate to Minneapolis where Indigo plans to establish its headquarters. He earned his engineering degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and his MBA from the University of Arizona Eller College of Business.

 


Welcome Michael Rodenwald to Indigo Signworks St. Cloud!

A Big Welcome to Our Newest Team Member, Michael Rodenwald!

Michael RodenwaldWe’re delighted to announce the newest addition to our Sales Team out of our St. Cloud, MN office. Michael Rodenwald handles both custom signage and corporate sign sales for the Minneapolis Metro region. Mike’s depth of knowledge in the sign industry started in 1998 when he attended M-State Technical College in Detroit Lakes, MN, where he went through the Sign Lettering & Design program. After graduation, he started working for Leroy Signs of Minneapolis, MN in the layout and vinyl graphics department. His education continued with on-the-job training within different aspects of the sign business: letter fabrication, pylon and monument fabrication, wiring, as well as installation.

In 2013-2014, Mike was a familiar face to our Indigo Signworks’ family while he worked in our Install Crew out of the Alexandria, MN office. Mike’s hands-on knowledge of the complete sign process from design, manufacture, installation and project management is an invaluable addition to the St Cloud Market sales team as we continue to grow that direction. We couldn’t be happier to have him back on team Indigo!

Michael lives in the town of Saint Martin, MN where he and his wife Alyssa are raising their two boys; Parker (10) and Degan (7). In his spare time, you’ll find Michael at the lake, or in the woods hunting.
